In the beginning theres a guy hanging out in the town, and you get the option to work with the gang or scare them off. Where do you go to get the gang quest to kill him?

I think it's just south of the saloon. The guy you need to talk to (the one who is in the saloon, arguing with Trudy) is leaning up against one of the homes in the abandoned area of Goodsprings.
