Dialogue Tutorial

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 4:52 am

I could realy use an ideots guide to creating dialogue.

I have looked all over the internet for one and just cant find one anywere. All i want is to talk to an NPC have a quick conversation and thats it. If anyone could give me a step by step guide or point me in the rite direction i would realy apreciate it.

Cheers

The tutorials on dialog at geck.gamesas.com seem very complete. This is where I learned.

This one helped me get started and it's a decent tutorial. But some of it is very difficult to understand as English might not be the author's native language.

I haven't gone through this one as I just now found it looking for Crow's link for you, but from the description, it looks pretty good. I will most likely give it a go this weekend as I'm a beginner and need to learn everything I can.

And here's the one I mentioned by Crow done in his shall I say, "unique" style.

If you ever want to do actual voice files, here's Crow's video tutorial for that. It's kind of difficult to follow as he seems all over the map at times, but I think the basics are there. Again, I haven't tried it yet, but I hope to have actual sound files for the mod I'm working on now.

Hope this helps!
