Whatever you do, when New Vegas comes out don't look at the wiki till your second playthrough! Stay away from the cheats, hints and spoilers, section too! The wiki ruined a lot of our first experiences with FO3. It will be tempting but we can do it!!!

Well, you could only use it for weapon stats and stuff but not for the quests.

Thats what i mean, it spoils quests that you havent done yet!
