Is the Police Pistol Boosted by the Cowboy Perk?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 12:51 pm

It is a revolver-type gun, and as such I would think it would be boosted, but has anyone ever confirmed this one way or another? Thanks in advance for your assistance, dear Bethworks Forum. :trophy:

Scroll down to the Bugs section.

Despite being a revolver, the police pistol is not affected by the Cowboy perk, nor The Professional.

It should apply....as revolvers in game that are modeled on current day revolvers (.44 Magnum, Mysterious Magnum, Hunting Revolver, Sequoia) get it, not to mention the futuristic That Gun....but it doesn't. The Police Pistol is modeled on the Colt Police Positive Special, a popular police sidearm designed in the 1920s. I suspect they didn't apply the Cowboy perk to it as they felt it would be too effective on the Ghost people. I wish they would fix that, as well as fix how it has no rear sight notch when you're using iron sights. As a weapon, I've found it to be quite effective against people, feral ghouls and smaller critters, especially using FHPs.
