How does Dean look so real? : Fallout: New Vegas

I don't mean his ghoul version, but his face on the poster advertising him. I mean seriously, he looks like it's a real photograph. I really hope a dev might pop in and tell me, though I won't get my hopes up, because I'm really intrigued. :sadvaultboy:

I thought they used someone as a model to base his face off of.

Maybe they got an actual picture of a 40s/50s singer, and just doctored it to what they wanted dean to look like.Because if you go to the fallout wikis article on him, and look at the gallery section, there is a photo of his loading screen poster http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Dean_Domino

I thought you said how did they make him look so real, and i said maybe they doctored/
photoshopped it. If you look at the head, it looks unnaturally angled to the body, it just doesn't look normal. And if you think about, they are using a pair glasses to cover up a sizeable portion of his face, but in all honesty, they could've got any persons face, slapped a moustache and glasses on it, put what looks like a Tunnel Snake haircut on his head and said its Dean Domino.

His name is a combination of Dean Martin and Fats Domino, and he looks similar to Martin with a mustache just like Domino's and a complexion somewhere inbetween. My guess is that its an original rendition made to look like an old photograph.

Also, I started brainstorming about mustashed singers during their time period and he also looks pretty identical to a young Otis "Slim" Whitman.
