[REQ] Hidden Sniper Kills doesn't affect Reputation : Fallout: New Vegas

I would like, if possible, a mod that enables you to make sniper kills that doesn't affect your reputation with the faction member you kill. I mean do I sign my bullets, what the hell?

That doesn't do what I want. Lets say I'm going with NCR, and I am currently looking for NCR gear to repair my stuff with (Or I just REALLY want a pile of NCR weapons and armour) so what do I do? Oh! I know

I'll go up on that hill REALLY far away and snipe a few. Done is the Deed as the prospector said and now the NCR HATES me! What the hell! Did I sign my bullets or something? For all they know it could be someone with a grudge or a Caesar's Legion sniper or some other lowlife asshat picking them off like pimples on a teenager.

All you really need is a SILENCED sniper rifle, and to be HIDDEN.

A mod to add onto the game what is already there is pointless.
Keep a good reputation with the NCR while sniping them with something silenced works wonders.

I have tried the Silenced and Hidden combo. Doesn't work. At first it dose but then my rep falls like a World Killer asteroid. I had a Varmit Rifle fully tricked out and I had the distance and I was Idolized but my rep still fell.

Oh I see, I thought you meant karma. Yes I agree there should be a requirement for them to actually see you before you get a reputation hit.

If you are hidden and using a silenced weapon and still losing rep then you were spotted or something. I've taken out all of Cottonwood Cove with a silenced gun while sneaking in the hills and never lost a bit of rep on my first playthrough, and on the second one I wiped it out while sneaking and using Pushy and never lost any rep.

edit: I do agree that non silenced sniper kills, hell kills in general, that weren't witnessed should not ruin rep.

Maybe it's because my sniper character uses my stealth boy addon mod but i've sniped tons of people and never gotten a reputation hit except when it comes to completing quests.

Have you? There is at least one.

Besides, a sniper doesn't have to be using an actual sniper rifle. If you are shooting from cover at a far distance, you are a sniper.

Anyway, i believe this is actually in the game. I stealth killed some powder gangers and lost no rep at all, which was fun when roleplaying an undercover agent of sorts in the prison.

disabled the bomb on President's Vertibird, and didn't fire single bullet, the sniper just hit one of the president's guards.

After doing some tests on my own I realise that this mod request would be very pointless since it's already in the game. Just me having a bad streak of luck it seems :banghead:

still, it doesnt matter if you're shooting a damn rocket if its far enough away and you're not seen. I mean if I fire from the platforms on lake mead to the Fort, I shouldn't lose reputation. there's no way they saw me so yeah. silencer should be required from closer range though.

You will unless the gun is silenced. I think it is dumb to get rep hits if you used an unsilenced gun like the AMR and no one else saw you kill the person though.

A silenced sniper rifle (using the "Ratrifle" my self) is working just fine, have never got rep loss when doing this as long as I'm hidden.

I know. I busted my own prior "research" I think it was due to bad luck or some semi-bad coding.
