I was walking around the strip a little bit after delivering the platinum chip to Mr. House and my game crashed. Now I can't load my auto save or any of my recent saves, but I can load all of my really old saves from the beginning of the game. Every time I try to load a recent one the game crashes on the loading screen and Windows forces me to close out of it. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. Help please!

Similar issue for me. Game was working fine until I did a manual save in Boulder City Ruins and now my last 5 manual saves, autosave and quicksave no longer work....

Same, lost about 2 hours of work from this crap. Any fix?!?!

Same for me rybrad. same same spot same issues. man this is the 2nd game I've purchased in 2 weeks with serious bug issues!!!! Do they think people have money to throw away in these tough times. :banghead:

Really svcks because I've been able to enjoy the game immensely even with its numerous bugs, but I've finally run into the bug that has stopped me from playing. Even thought the 6 hours I'm going to lose is nothing in comparison to the 100+ hours I'd get out of the game, I really don't want to replay that time lost. Really crossing my fingers for a fix soon

I have the same problem. After searching all over the internet, I found a lot of reports that the quest "Come Fly With Me" is the cause of the save game corruption. Some speculate it's the space suit, some think it's the quest itself.

Thankfully, I've been doing manual saves (not quick or auto) constantly. The last save game of mine that works was during the "Come Fly With Me" mission so I did some testing - I saved my game after every point in the quest and immediately tried to reload it. Every save worked fine until I spoke with Bright after clearing out all the nightkin. Once I spoke with him and all the ghoul NPCs start running down the stairs, every save afterwards is corrupt. I did not get the space suit so that does not seem to be the cause. This happened to me after the 2 patches which confirms the patches do not resolve the issue.

My advice is to avoid this quest until a new patch that specifically says it fixes this issue is released.

Just did some more testing... before talking to Bright my save worked but afterwards, all saves are corrupted, even when I don't talk to Bright and just leave. I went to a save before killing Davison and was able to leave and save normally. Davison is bugged and attacks you when he shouldn't so maybe that is related somehow.

Anyway, avoid this quest and save often.
