Escape to where?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:00 am

So, in the Resistance campaign if you win all main missions you escape the Ark. But where to? I want two answers, funny or realistic. For the realistic it has to be somewhere relatively elevated and somewhat fertile. For the funny stuff it doesn't really matter, but say stupid things that people will dislike.

Realistic. Kenya. It is around 700 meters up, and hasnt been enviro-[censored] by people. Also Resistance peps against mega lions.

Funny. Splash mountain/Disney. It would be really creepy to see all those decaying animatronics and costumes all around. And crazy Resistance people wearing them.

They go to CANDY Mountain where they meet a bland unicorn named Charlie, and magical Leopleurodons.

The Ark is off the coast of California - Kenya would take lifetimes to reach.

But at the same time, completely worth it.

I would go to Hawaii, the top of the mountain would probably be high enough out of the water. It would also be closer since the ark is off the coast of california, but I dont know how far

So you prefer the Candy Mountain/ Charlie the Unicorn ending?

What part of the last hope of humanity is the Resistance missing?

They cannot fish?

I'm sure they can fish.

The question is, can they find clean water or distill water or whatever that process is called?
Unless it rains some more or something?

Yeah, I wonder how the escaping of the ark goes..... sequel?

Then that eliminates The Security from any sequel but on The Security ending you unite the Ark so probably another uprising

Edit:
Yeah so the resistance is screwed unless they steal all of the supplys before leaving and have enough fresh water to make a constant supply when it dose rain and also have luck when fishing as it is will be tedious in 2043 when i think the earth seas would of expanded making new species of fish but surely from all the fishing humanity did up untill 2035-2040 it wouldn't be enough time for the fish population to boom

Does anyone think that they might have fished on the ark to live (before the war)?

Most definitely I prefer the Candy Mountain ending :P
No but on a more serious note I hope it doesn't end like that. That just seems so dull and bland.

"Oh the Ark is built, Resistance gets in, fights a war with Security, escapes than they all die."

See what I mean

Maybe they escape to the lost city of Atlantis that for some reason rose to the surface and floated like the arc and somehow ended up close enough to the arc for everyone to see. So all the resistance in the middle of the war still saw it come out of the ocean and decided to steal some boats and get on it before it floats to far away. The Atlantians that live in Atlantis welcome the resistance into their city and everyone lives happily ever after, the end. Oh and the atlantians can breathe water and air which is why they are still there and not dead.

That wouldn't really work out since Atlantis would be even further under water, and its been thought to have been in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
Some say it was an entire continent that was engulfed by the sea.

escape to witch mountain!
which mountain? yeah witch mountain. no seriously which mountain? WITCH MOUNTAIN

anyway, if you want uber realistic, if the polar icecaps meltaed the world wouldnt be covered in water. They mention something about greenland, and its estimated that if all of the ice of greenland were to melt it would raise the sea level by 20 feet (7 meters), although a very serious issue that would effect everyone on Earth, not quite apocalyptic. so lets say Greenland and Antarctica melt, Antartica has 90% of Earths ice and would raise the sea 200 feet (60 meters). so together thats 220 feet higher, so a lot of land is still around, i mean i live in Knoxville, Tennesse, which is in a valley, but I'm still 800 feet above sea level.

I kind of find it funny, what do ya folks expect from this conflict? Do you expect some sort of biblical miracle at the end of the war where fish rains from the sky, or that everything magical grows back and Nature's bounty is up for the grabs again?

Two sides are fighting, both suffer from the fact that they are scarce on resources, water rations are almost a necessity instead of some cheap luxury, and let's not forget any possible issues with food.
One side will horde the resources as best as possible, and after that they are right back in the same situation, another civil war, until nothing is left.

Other option is that before the war reaches to the burning point... they establish contact or something with someone from outside the Ark.

The last option is that some cataclysm happens and destroys everything... There War ends, and there are no losers since no one won.

as depresing as that is he has a point there, the war is gonna use up even more resources and by the end no matter who wins if they cant get off the ark to get more there f 'ed anyway.

If enough people die in the war it would probably help lessen the strain on resources. Maybe the security ending will be a logans run scenario. Cut down the population and all that. Its not like anyone will oppose them anymore with the resistance crushed. I'm kidding of course but that'd still be a pretty great ending.

I'm actually gonna try doing an ending for both factions (humor related ones)

The Resistance ending- The resistance has finally escaped the Ark... they gathered as many resources as possible and built a ship to find new land. After weeks of being on that boat the finally discover land. The natives of this land call it... Carealot. The resistance members suffered the same problems they did on the Ark, a large-scale war starts in the new land, the resistance becomes victorious again, and claim Carealot for their own.

The Security Ending- The Security forces have successfully defeated the Resistance and have freed the ark of the shackles of war. The security forces are weakened but still function, and in their glory, they start a huge dance party, but over the coming years a new man comes into power, a tyrant of godly power. They call him, El bailarín de muerte... the dancer of death. (Bonus points for reference).
