A Question?

The only problem i have heard and seen in this game are:
When thrown grenades, the grenades dont actually kill off. But damages life and the pistol shooting animation. but very minor problems will be able to adjust!.

But what i really want to know is, which might be a problem for me.......would it take a whole clip to kill someone. For example a game like Halo Reach.
I know we have seen some of the video clips already and to me it looks like it does not. But its just one of those inquiries where i need to hear it from someone else that knows more.

A Whole clip on one guy!! i cant stand that!!

It does definately take more than in, say, Call of Duty.

But it's more like 7-8 hits (on an unbuffed medium) instead of a whole mag (NOT clip). So ultimately it's down to your aiming skills. However, recoil in BRINK isn't very big (hence the pistol-animation) so aiming properly isn't hard either.

And grenades are crowd-control or area-of-denial weapons in BRINK.

Well first off you dont kill people outright in this game you incapacitate them first and if you shoot them or knife them while they are incapacitated then they die. This could take a whole clip or it may not there are many variables to be weighed such as what buffs the other player has , if he has already been shot , what gun you are using at what range , and how accurate you are as headshots deal additional damage. As for grenades no they do not kill people instantly but what you have to understand is they have much the same effect as grenades in other shooters it just takes more skill to achieve that result. Instead of killing an enemy instantly the grenade knocks them down making them vulnerable for a few seconds which should make it alot easier for you to lay down some fire and finish them off.

I dont think you can use some kind of rule that says "you can kill a target with 5 bullets"...
there are just too many factors that influence damage of the damage giver (like weapontype, damage buff, damage boosting abilities, bodypart hes hitting) aswell as staying power of the damage receiver (like bodysize, armor/health buff, armor/health abilities)

i think when you attack a heavy soldier who has some kind of kevlar vest ability and a level 3 medic buff with a small smg and without any damage boost you may even need more than 1 mag to get him down...
