Usefull Performance Tip

Heya fellas!

Since I installed the d3d9.ddl fix I've had a pretty decent framerate. 40 - 60 FPS, but I still had a lot of mouse lag, which made the game feel sluggish.

In your .ini file, find the line that says iPresentInterval=1. Change the 1 to 0. And there you go.

Doing this made my mouse movement a lot more responsive, both in menus and when looking around. This may not apply to everyone, but trying it out can't hurt.

yeah, the new patch forced vsync on which will automatically add an extra frame or two in a buffer before rendering. If you get 40 frames a second, 2 frames is 50ms of mouse lag eliminated.

Glad you found it useful. It's a problem that plagues many games unfortunately. Far Cry 2 might have been a terrific game, but the mouse lag was awful on the PC version, so I never played more than a couple of hours.
