As far as we know... No. The only thing you can do while incapped is shooting your secondary but you need an certain ability to do so.

Just an idea, but when someone asks a simple question that is either a "yes" or a "no," maybe we could just let it go and allow the thread to die?

Might help clean up the front page a bit. Just sayin.

But wouldn't it be nice if the medic could drag you? Makes the medic a little more hands on and allows him to get you clear of more dangerous firing lines before he gives you the syringe to revive (or before you revive).

It would be nice if there was an universal ability to pull incapacitated teammates, but it shouldn't be limited to the medic.

You dont just revive players, you throw them a needle, and then they pick when to use it. From what i've seen you don't have to get too close like other shooters where you can revive players.

I know how the medic works, I'm saying as of now he doesn't have to really get into the fray to save anybody and it would be a nice additional ability for those that want to.

Being able to pick when you get up may seem great, but if a medic (or as Rev suggests, anyone with the ability) can pull you clear of firing lines it becomes more beneficial to you (who may not be able to see the guy waiting for you to get up) and the medic who gets more XP for the successful res, as well as the team who gets a teammate back free and clear.

Well I guess you'll just have to wait for Battlefield 3 then, wont you? Since this wont be happening in Brink.

Not at all. Think of it like dying and being sent to the respawn timer, except a teammate can respawn you at the same spot instead of the spawnpoint.

On the flip side, enemies can re-kill you and you're forced to wait for the next respawn wave.

You can unlock the ability to shoot while incapped, but that lowers your incapped health.

Not knowing a thing about Battlefield 3 I wouldn't know, and since Brink isn't out and we have no word on future content anyways I don't know how you could be so sure what will or won't be happening in Brink, so I would think that this particular thread on this particular discussion forum might be the right place to discuss it.

I do hope you won't mind if anybody interested continues to discuss it here.

Not 100%, but pretty damn close to 100% sure you can't. How you might be wondering? Watch every video that has a downed player in it and you'll never, not even once, move an inch from the stop where they were downed. So i would say that is my main thing.

actually you kind of slide-in to the position it seems
and in the newest trailer you can see someone get blown off of a building and in to the incapacitated position
we don't grow cement shoes :P

but the answer is still no, you cannot crawl

Future Content refers to that which may be added later, of which we know almost nothing at this point.

If you'll note from the original comment of mine that you quoted, I am not talking about being able to crawl while incapacitated, I am talking about an ability that will allow the medic (or as Rev suggested, anybody) to drag an incapacitated player out of firing lines.

I am aware of what is currently known to be in and what is currently known to be out, but since there's only so much that can be done with the information, many of us are choosing to discuss how certain added mechanics could work and if they would be interesting additions or not. Sure it's not likely to be an addition based on current in game mechanics, but it doesn't mean we can't talk about it.

It is, after all, a discussion forum and it can be quite boring if nobody is discussing anything.

And I should note that a portion of that in my last comment was directed at the "/end topic", as I see that far too often when there is still plenty of healthy, safe, uninflamed discussion to be had.
