okay, so here's the deal, i'm trying to get the Great Khans to join the NCR in an alliance, but i've run into a problem. I already got Milissa Jack and Diane to side with me, but im having trouble with a fellow named Regis. he needs me to get proof the legion will betray the Khans before he speaks openly. My issue is, the quest marker leads me right to Caesar himself. And Caesar is standing in a big group, with a dog, in front of his tent. Everytime i get close i get attacked (they see through my clever disguise) and the one time i suicided and got into convo with him before they caught onto me, it brought up dialogue that had nothing to do with the Khans. Help i'm really stuck here and i dont wanna have to wipe the Khans off the face of the earth. what am i doing wrong?

You can talk to the other dude, can't remember his name. If you go talk to the Colonel at the Damn, she will tell you to assassinate Papa Khan. Once you do that, the 2nd in command will take over and will ally with NCR. I didn't do the other way because I was stuck like you.

oh i figured it out!!! you dont need to talk to caesar, you have to get a book INSIDE his tent. so just throw on a stealthboy and strut right in hahaha. thanks for the help though.

I wish I figured that out before I annihilated his entire camp >.<

yea, they didnt make it easy for you haha. i was about to give up, but decided to go back and give it one last go.

Personally, I chose to just put HP and AP rounds in all of their heads, depending on whether they had what looked like heavier armour on or not.

Saved me a lot of hassle and the stench of dealing with Barbarians. XD.

damnit... after all that they didnt join the NCR. i guess Papa needs to die for them to actually side WITH the NCR. well at least they are not fighting with the legion.

weird, for me it pointed me straight into the quarry full of deathclaws..... but that was to get melissa's proof, I just stole a book from the legion guy sitting next to papa and that convinced Regis

I stole the book, but I'm not getting the option to convince Regis in dialogue? Anyone else having problems with this?

you dont use the book on regis.. you use the book on papa..

the quest is bugged, if you use speech to get karl to implicate himself by making him mad and having him insult the khans then papa khan kills him then you can't finish the quest because when you get karls journal you can't use it to get regis to agree to break the legion alliance, you have to get the journal and give it to papa khan and have him kill karl this way to get regis's help in breaking the alliance, so don't use speech to finish the optional part of the quest, get the journal first and give it to papa khan to do it, i found out the hard way and lost a bit of playing time because of this and had to go back to an old save.
