Never Assume Anything

Ever make a mistake based on an assumption in New Vegas?

I have. Mostly, because at the beginning of the game every assumption I made let to success, like when I heard a fight but came only across one person and not even a body. She mentioned that the OTHER person mentioned the Star Caps; so I killed her and she had 30 of 'em!

However, there are times when I come to realize I am just an ass. Like coming into Nipton the first time...

There's this Ex-Powder Ganger come a whoopin' an a hollerin' up toward me and I ask him about it and he says he won the lottery. Said he was richer'n [censored] and was gonna live like a king. So I figure, he's got money, right? I kill him. He's got some lotto ticket. I figure I can cash it in so I take it and stroll on into Nipton where I run into Caesar's Legion and am told about what happened in town. "[censored] it" I think, "Now I won't be getting any money."

That is funny! Don't feel bad as he was a powder ganger anyway!
