Inon Zur taking the Morgan route with more ambient noise? That is good news.

Hi guys,

To clarify this once and for all:

All of the new music in Fallout: New Vegas is by Inon Zur, however we do use some of Mark Morgan's tracks from Fallout 1 & 2. They're mixed in with the Inon music in places (so are sound effects from Fallout 1 & 2) and the actual tracks themselves will play in specific locations. We use some of Inon's music from Fallout 3 as well. There's a ton of music in this game.

So that journalist had a remarkably good ear to catch the snippits he heard!

Thanks Jason.... it's the best of both worlds -- music to everyone's ears :celebration:

Interesting, but have they been remixed, rearranged or something? Because I find it difficult to imagine Fallout 3 and 1/2 tracks coexisting in harmony in a soundtrack.

Thanks for the info. Now... That does sound mighty interesting.

http://www.bethblog.com/podcast/ contains some of New Vegas new music!

It's not really clear since Jason Bergman is talking over it, but it sounds more atmospheric and a bit closer to the first 2 soundtracks, just with more strings.

Hopefully they dont take the public themes from fallout 3 as they were very annoying. :banghead:

New stuff sounds pretty decent, sets the tone nicely without any illusions of grandeur.

Out of curiosity, where was the reference? I guess I missed it.

I think its something like me saying "We're not in Kansas anymore," and someone saying "You mean like in Avatar?". There's a level in Bad Company that takes place almost completely on a golf course called 'Par for the course', but the level was named after a well-known figure of speech, it didn't make up the phrase. He must have thought that DICE made up the phrase, and you were referencing it.
