Adding a new world map for a worldspace

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 8:17 am

Anyone have any idea of how to add a new world map for a custom worldspace? I can get the local map to work but, can't seem to find any clue on how to change my world map in the pipboy, is this some function in the ini for interface or something?

thanks for any help

Edit: ie: Point lookout, the Pitt used there own world maps but, I can't seem to do it.

Go to your World Space, there is a tab with Map Image. Your map image goes there, make sure also you didn't select anything in Parent Worldspace.

Tried that and, it didn't seem to work going to try to set the mods .esm flag to see if that fixes the issue.

I tried it now and it works even on esp, is weird that doesn't work on your custom world space. Can you post a screen of your world space settings in the editor?

Heres a screen, just using the DC wasteland as a test image before creating a map of my own.

Yes the NW/SE are temp, actually the entire world is temp. Most of my experience working with worldspaces is from duplicating vanilla FO3 to build my glass windows cells in DCInteriors. I was helping someone figure out where they went wrong trying to generate LOD and, they passed this off to me, I've ben playing with it to learn more about scratch building worldspaces.

It's not a mod I'll ever release because it's not mine but, is proving a fun learning experience to play with the landscape and, figuring all of that out.
