Better to duplicate a cell or start a new one?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 2:26 am

Hey guys, so my mod is like, 50% done, and I am going to make a new interior. Problem is, starting a new one requires alot of work...whereas duplicating one and then editing some areas is alot lesser work, considering everything is intact. The environment, clutter, navmesh.

So currently, the second option seems better, right?

However, I've heard people getting really strange problems when they duplicate cells...true or no?

Thanks for any input!

I always find a cell that I like, duplicate it and, remove almost everything, then rebuild it the way I want. This way you start with a base, lighting templet, image space, all set up, although you can always go back and change any of those things later if the end up not fitting your needs. I've never had a problem with duplicated cells, What are the problems you've herd of?

I don't think you should worry about using duplicate cells, I've not seen an issue.

I din't think I've ever created a new space. I've always duplicated one that was already close to what I needed.
