Steam has given me nothing but grief since I got this game--is there any way to get rid of it and play the game.

But today something new happened--until now I could get on eventually, but as on an hour ago. when i try to play the game, I get a steam log-on. I have never had that before. i has steam is already running problems but never a log on. When i log on, and yes I have the correct user name and pass word, I get a message that says something liek could not log on there is either a problem with you internet connection or with steam, log on to steam for more information.

Any suggestions--I am really, really disgusted with the problems your use of steam has caused me.

Solved it for the moment myself. In case anyone else has something similar, i went to the disk and reran the Steam set up in repair mode. I could then connect to Steam when it asked me to. Still i cannot seem to figure out how to remove myself and simply play offline. any help appreciated.
