Unable to add objects to a new worldspace

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 5:44 am

Hi all,

This is probably a simple problem, but I'm having trouble adding anything to my new worldspace. At the moment, I've got a plan, empty worldspace, into which I have added a few static objects, a door, and a COC marker.

I can transport to the door, via a linked one in a custom interior cell, or I can use the 'coc' console command to teleport to the new worldspace. Both, however, put me into an blank world, with no items or objects, despite the fact that they are there in the GECK.

Anyone know a solution to this?

Thanks.

Does your worldspace have a floor? Maybe everything is at a different altitude (z coordinate) from you. Have you created interior mods before or is this your first one?

I've done a few worldspaces before in FO3 without encountering this problem, but this is the first time I've tried one with the New Vegas GECK. At the moment, I can get to the new worldspace at the right altitude, just nothing appears where it should except the landscape (i.e. I can spawn onto an object, but it doesn't appear). There are no objects at all. Interior wise, I've got no problems with. Everything works as it should on that front, it's just the new worldspace that's giving me problems.

Thanks

The mod sounds small so far, in terms of filesize. Can you zip and attach to a post? Or put it on a public download site somewhere? We can take a look.

I think I've managed to find a solution, and it looks like you were right the first time. I restarted the GECK at least dozen times yesterday, to no avail, but the first time I try today, everything appears below the ground. One quick repositioning of everything, and all looks to be working smoothly.

See, I knew it would be something simple. Thanks for the help. ;)
