The new patch, mods and NVSE

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 4:12 am

Ive been afraid to update to the latest patch for fear of messing up my modded games. Ive just reinstalled the game and putting in the mods i like and got fearful of messing it up again with the latest patch. i know there have been discussions about this but the technical (to me anyway) stuff is often beyond me.

so im wondering if i update to the latest patch:
1) will it mess up my modded game (nott starting, ctds)?
2) hows nvse work with the latest patch?
3) any precautions, steps i have to make?

i use fomm and bash, if that's at all significant. thanks in advance :)

Imp was kind enough to post on the nexus that nvse has been updated to beta 6

I've updated with the patch and nvse beta 6, in a modded game with no problems (so far)

Well i don't think they would officially release a patch that knowingly caused CTDs. So, officially, no, your game will not crash at all. But things are different for everyone, however the mass majority are playing just fine.

So far it does seem more stable. I've had one CTD since updating, and it ended up being due to Windows unilaterally deciding it was time to install an update and restart.
