[SPOILERS]
Some of these bugs occur later in the game and since I am trying to describe the bugs and the events that lead up to them in detail some details of the game might also be dropped.

Gamebreakers:
- Console Freeze during the last mission. This has happened to me reliably during the section of the last mission where you need to run across the top of Hoover Dam towards the shack that sits in the middle of the dam. The bug almost always freezes my console at the section where the Legion troops run onto the dam from one of the side towers on the left.
- Right Controller stick unresponsive making it impossible to aim your character. This happened to me when I left the Hunter's Farm farmhouse and traveled south. I was killed by a pack of Deathclaws and the game loaded my last save which was the Autosave when I exited the farmhouse. At this point I the right control stick on my controller became unresponsive when trying to aim my weapons and I could not turn my character. This bug affected my last 3 save games as well, so I ended up losing about 10 hours worth of gaming.
- Save game corruption. This has happened a lot at later levels as I have progressed through the game. Trying to load a saved game often leads to a never-ending load screen where the save game never loads (even after an hour) and the only options to continue are to exit to the Xbox dashboard or turn off the console. This is often a little bit of a crapshoot, sometimes a save will load with no problems, but if you try to load it again because you died or failed a mission and it will fail to load.
- New Vegas Strip gate locked. This happened to me during the Wildcard: Finishing Touches mission with Yes Man. I had already progressed to the last NCR mission and talking to Col. Moore would take me to the last mission and end the game. For Yes Man I went to the El Dorado substation to install the override chip. When I got back to New Vegas the door to the Strip was locked and un-pickable. (Note: if you are friendly with the NCR you can use the monorail).
Non-Gamebreakers
- Companions not following. If you have two companions and dismiss the humanoid companion, your non-humanoid companion (ED-E or Rex) becomes stuck in place and will not follow you until you walk up to them and switch them to "Wait Here" and then back to "Follow Me" using the companion wheel. At random times the companions will also just stop following you for unknown reasons possibly related to scripted events like setting off a trip wire or having an NPC approach you. They also get stuck at gates where they will not cross into the new area with you. This can be really annoying if you don't remember where you were when you were last interrupted as you have to search a potentially large area for them.
- Old Lady Gibson won't give you caps when you sell her merchandise. I noticed this later in the game after I had bought Rey's brain to fix Rex (not sure if it connected). I often sell to Old Lady Gibson because I have used her to repair my armor and weapons so she often has a large amount of caps. When you sell to her you are shown the total number of caps you have coming to you from the merchandise you are selling but when you hit the X button to confirm the transaction the caps are not added to your total and her total caps does not reduce.
- Train Tunnel leading to Nellis AFB had a side passage that causes you to fall through the floor. The area is fairly easy to see as in my game and one of my friends games you can hear falling cans and cans constantly spawn and slide down the stair leading to the side passage.
- Floating landscape. There is a lot of floating landscape in the game but the problem is really bad between Cottonwood Cove and Camp Searchlight. I don't think there are more than a handful of placed rocks that don't have an edge above the terrain contour.
- Random texture corruption. At certain points in the game terrain objects appears to become corrupted and "erupt" in an animated glitch with sound. This has happened to be twice, that I have noticed the first time was in Sloan where the corner of the main shack (just behind the generator that you can fix) erupted outward with a noise like the rockets at the RepConn test site. The second time was at Helios One, at the top of the tower where you activate the switch that will turn on the machine. The hex-patterened sections of the tower had a glitch that shot up with a sound like falling cans.
- Game slowdown. At times the game slows down to the point it is almost standing still or like watching a slide show. I have played Fallout 3 and Oblivion which use previous version's of New Vegas's game engine and the slowdown in those games has never been as pronounced.
There are other bugs I have encountered but I don't remember them right now. If I recall anymore I will post them.
