Froze on me 2 times in Eureka

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 5:40 am

The frozen issue finally catches up to me. It happened at least 2 times in the NCR final mission Eureka. I know it is frozen because the xbox button on the controller no longer works. The powering down using the xbox power button does cause a click from the hard disk, don't like it but what can I do? Fortunately I manage to finish using the Speech checks against Legate.

Here are the freezes:
- at the road leading to Legate's camp from Hoover dam. I was on top of the bridge shooting, my companions (Lily & Rex) are below me attacking the legion. The game froze when the legion is 1 notch of health away from dying.

- It froze once at the Legate's camp before I go up the hill to Legate's tent.

No more F:NV until they make a proper patch that passes the review of this forum.

It's a problem with Obsidian. They are new and terrible and didn't bother to get any beta testing done on the game before releasing it. Hence, we the consumers in the gaming industry are inherently the "lab-rat" beta testers, basically. Patience, though. They will be releasing a patch in the coming weeks to resolve all of the main issues with the game, along with several minor issues.

Me too. It's really a fun game and there's so much content that it literally takes 100 hours to explore and quest all the game has to offer. I love the game, but I am very angry with the dev team right now for they were wrong to release an untested game into the market and make us wait weeks for them to send out patches. Guess I wouldn't care if I would still be playing the game in 2 weeks. By the time the patch comes out I will be too busy playing cod and thusly my experience with FO:NV was not optimal and that is very unfortunate :(
