modifying/enhancing the pre-order bonus weapons?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 3:49 pm

Considering that these are super unique weapons do you guys think that we will still be able to modify them? If so do you think that the wapon will be able to last us util the end of the game? If so will they be super powerful to match the in game weapons at the end?

Example: Lets say the Virgin Mary 9mm is the most powerful pistol. Do you think that fully modified weathered 10mm from the classic pack will do just as much if not more damage than it?

Of course this question applies to the other pre-order weapons too.

What do you guys think?

I think we will be able to mod these weapons. I don't think they're unique, thou. You can probably find the weapons and stuff later in the game, they're just starter packs.

Should be able to mod them. They're not real unique weapons, they just have a different name from the standard model. Like the caravan shotgun is in the game but the pre-order one is called *sturdy* caravan shotgun. I don't think they'll be on the level of the virgin mary pistol or anything.

How do you know this? Just because it doesn't look to unique doesn't mean that it isn't unique. It has been stated that unique weapons are not mod-able, so I doubt that you will be able to mod any of the pre-order weapons.

You will not be able to modify unique weapons. Some of the weapons you get in the pre-order bonus packs are unique. Therefore you will not be able to modify them.

Call me a Metal Gear fan boy but I love playing as a sneak character with a silenced pistol, which is why I really want to be able to equip a silencer to that bad boy.

I personally think that you should be able to modify all of the uniques, but that's just me. Anyway, I could see the Sturdy Caravan Shotgun, the Grenade rifle, and that pistol having a viable use throughout the game, but there will probably still be much better weapons you can get your hands on though.
