Seeing how many of each class is on the field.

In all the footage I have watched in all the articles I have read I noticed that nobody ever brought this up and it seems fairly important.

Now in Team Fortress 2 you can check how much of each class is on the field at any point right? Does Brink have that same capability. I mean if theirs a lot of one class on the field how are you supposed to know? By looking at everyones gloves as they run by or seeing what abilities they all use? Probably not right? If this is not in it seems like it could be slightly problematic if you think about it. Especially when sitting around guarding the next objective and you know the one soldier is getting killed before he can get there. Do you know their is only one soldier or even any soldiers at all? Probably not I'd wager. I never noticed this in the compendium or posted for discussion around here. Perhaps I missed some bit of footage that shows this is in or an article perhaps. If so I'd love to see it because I can see it bring a bit troublesome. I understand you yourself could go change classes to do what is needed but if you already think someone is on the way would you do it or keep your defenses set up.

I don't know for certain if the Tab screen (if it's mapped to Tab) will show how many of each class are deployed, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't. If your team isn't doing so hot, it would be helpful to pull up the list and see what you're missing.

I noticed in one of the videos,(I forgot which one I apologize), that when you are at a command post selecting guns or your class, there is a number at the bottom that tells you the number of those specific classes on the field

Around 25 seconds into the video when he goes to the command post it says "Change to *class*" then shows a number right beside it.

Your link is broken.

Anyway, @OP: While I can't say whether the scoreboard displays classes, I can say for sure that when you go to a command post you can see how many people are playing each class. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSXr_85Ctm8&feature=related First time it happens is at 0:14.

I really, really hope the person playing in that video is usually a PC gamer - because watching that makes it seem like aim-assist is a necessity on consoles. Either they aren't used to using both sticks to aim, or their sensitivity is too high...

Am I a mean person? >.>

Also, Engineer was quite popular in that particular lobby.

EDIT:

Happy to help, especially considering this topic hasn't been done to death like so many others have.
