I am not a hardcoe gamer (anymore). The last game I bought was Fallout 3. And I bought New Vegas last week. My Xbox sits around gathering dust in the interim. After reading about the bugs, I haven't even opened New Vegas. Is it even worth it, or will I throw my Xbox in the closet for another 6 months after a couple hours of this buggy mess?

Avoid playing the game until the patch is out! honestly,having to play the game through so many glitches is hard work.

yeah i agree having this many bugs, glitches etc is just ruining the experience for me.

I tried to stay positive and not let all the bug reports deter me from enjoying the game...however m Collectors Edition copy is gathering dust an I havent even reached level 21. I got around a massive bug involving the character Veronica, but now every time I load my game freezes within 5 seconds :brokencomputer: . No matter what I do, theres just no stopping it. Fearing a possible red ring i had to call it quits for New Vegas :cryvaultboy:

Since you are obviously not in the "have to play it on release" crowd, you may get less annoyed in your first playthrough by current bugs/glitches when you begin playing F:NV at the end of november.

i would also recommend waiting for the patch that fixes the save games.

i didn't pick up FO3 until the GOTY edition was out, but it easily became my favorite 360 game to date. i easily put over 100 hours into that game, and every once in a while i still go back and make a new one. i loved it so much that i was at a midnight release for FO:NV. but after 44 hours of gameplay, when my save games suddenly won't load anymore and there's precious little official info from beth/obsidian, i got extremely frustrated. i still want to play this game badly enough that i put it into my xbox probably once every 2 days in the vain hope that a patch came out. but it still hasn't come.

so yeah... don't open it till patch day. otherwise, it'll just be another coaster for your coffee table like the 1000s of AOL CDs from my youth.

Yah I say you should wait until it gets patched so that your first playthrough can be as immersive as possible. the bugs out now have definetely detracted from my overall experience causing me to put it away for awhile and pop in black ops
