I find it best to use on defense. I have only used it as a medic so far. Just sat in the back while the other team was trying to escort the guy across the map and every time they grouped up, popped the whole group with it. It doesn't kill very fast, but it's good for disorienting/stopping a large rush of people.

The hard part to get use to is learning the arc and the timing, since you probably noticed that it's got a bit of a timer. Also funny to hit people with it and watch them get knocked down.

Just practice and you'll get the hang of it, but I don't think it's meant as a fast killing weapon. More crowd control than anything else.

I'm not particularly great with it but I have found a couple useful tactics and the first would be to have an SMG with speed sling and drum magazines as back up. Once the Lobster is shot, quickly switch to the SMG and spray. If your enemies get back up, it's time to SMART your ass away from them and do it again. It can really prove frustrating to your enemy. Also at very far distances, launch it HIGH as hell. The grenade isn't projected with too much force so if you don't aim high, it won't go far. Also learn the trajectory and bounce power of the Lobster because if you can launch it off of walls, you can really mess with the enemy.

That's all I got, I'll edit this post if I have more tips

Like Brilyent said it's great for defense. It can be absolutely brutal when defending a drop off point for a carry objective. It's also good for stopping HE charge deployments/defusals. :nono:

Like the others have said, once you learn how it flies you can keep the enemy on their asses for quite a while. (Knockdown from a hit, and then again from the detonation)

If you need some practice use it with a Soldier and resupply when you run out. (The Lobster + Molotov= surefire defense)

It's very powerful when used on a soldier in a lengthy firefight at a choke point or on defense. Worse comes to worse just take pot shots in the general direction of the enemy and watch them run from their cover.

I use it like Grenades, I ricochet the HELL outta my shots with the Lobster and has proven to be very succesful. It's excellent for unclogging rooms/hallways or just like someone said, when they are escorting someone.

I love using it on Container City the most cause theres so much you can do with that Gun there..

Had people trying to spawn trap us in our Spawn spot, and I just buffed my DMG (Engineer obv), and went out and started slinging Nades off the Left Wall and got AT LEAST 3 real ppl with it, it was sooo nice.

^THIS^

Corner shots are awesome.

(Worth noting, I haven't really used it much, but when I have, that worked for me)

Remember to think about walls when you use the Lobster. Firing uphill can be tricky, but if there's a wall behind the top of a ramp, you can bounce your shot off that to place it where you want it. If you're in a tight corridor with incapacitated enemies, don't bounce your grenades on the floor, because incapacitated enemies are obstacles for the grenade. Bounce them off the walls or even the ceiling.

i like t aim for the ground in front of my enemy, so it bounces up into their face. i have found that when i do this, they get knocked down by the impact and because of the way it hits them it gets launched up, not away from them, it usually comes back down on top of them while they try to get up and has a good chance of incaping them. plus, a soldier is a much because it really is a spam-o-matic and dosent have much ammo to start off with.
