Voice Glitch (Changes to David Yip)

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 9:37 am

There seems to be a voice glitch in Brink where my characters will randomly use David Yip's voice even though I had chosen another. In this case, this bug has only occured for me with my character(s) using Ryan McCluskey's voice. I have found this bug reported on other forum sites, but didn't on this one. If anyone else has had this error, please reply to this thread.

I hope there is a fix for it as it annoys me plenty, it's not that I dislike the David Yip voice, but if I wanted it to be my character's voice, I'd choose it during creation, not get stuck with it afterwards.

I'll note that I've also tried creating a new character with the Ryan McCluskey voice, then deleting it, as I had read that it's the result of a character being deleted, and the other character will get stuck with it too, but that didn't seem to work.

If there is any known workaround until it's officially fixed in a patch, hope to read about it on here.

Also, I haven't read it anywhere as being specified for a platform, so all I can guess is that it's a bug on all platforms

Edit: as I have been notified below, this thread isn't needed, and can be removed if it doesn't offer any other useful info.

I'm having the same problem, but it randomly cycles voices through my Characters. I chose the English guy (forgot his name) but then went to the Jamaican/Islander and then it went to one of the american ones. It is rather annoying, I modeled the characters face etc. around the voice I initially chose, and I don't like how it cycles the voices. It also does it on all characters for me.

Haha this happens to me to. Every character I make turns into the jamacian. It seems to happen after I play the character I originally picked with the Jamacian voice. Hopefully it gets fixed.

Yeah I just had this one. My level 19 character had his Jimmy Akingbola voice changed Dhafer L'abidine's, which is annoying, because an african accent doesn't suit my character at all...

Same thing here, all my characters have changed to the Jamaican voice.
