Alright - i'm running a PC that should play this game (take my word for it). Of course, having an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870, i'm getting stutters and crappy FPS. That i hope to see fixed, but thats not the point of my thread.

Playing the campaign, after about an hour of play, my pc crashes to a bluescreen error page, describing an ATI driver fail that "could cause critical damage" and informing me that my pc was stopped to prevent said "damage". COOL. Anyone else experience full on crashes like this? Not local crashes in game but full computer crashes? Hopefully any ATI fix fixes this, but... I love the game and hope i don't have to shelf it due to crappy driver conflicts.

Are you sure it's not your graphics card overheating?

Positive. my laptop has a great set of fans, plus i've go It on a cooling mat and it was off for 3 hours b4 the crash.

well that type of error does refer usually to the heat, I have laptops also, you can see myn in my sig link. My laptop also has ati card, hope you getting working nevertheless, that sux alot. I would say if its not happneing in any other game, well what type of card do you got? Also download CUPID HW MONITOR PRO, its a temperature program that can even log your temps while your gaming and you can go back and look if it went to high. If its going above 100 degrees celsius you got prob.

I haven't had it crash again after another 3 hours of play, so hopefully its not a bug i'm gonna experience often. I know my temps are low tho - the gpu is right next to the fans on my laptop and so i can always feel when they're getting hot by putting mah hand next to the vent. And its hovering around the temp it gets when i plays crysis 2, though it seems to be doin more work.
