Steam doesnt let me load up Brink when I disable the Cloud save file system. Turning it back on lets me play. Whats up with this?
Im new to using Steam altogether and I didnt think it was so bad until now. I was playing offline on my laptop and when I connected this morning it "synced" with what Id been playing as on my desktop yesterday and deleted my characters I had on my laptop. I can understand how handy this Cloud tool is if youre always playing in online mode, but I do not.
I only get two options with Cloud enabled. "Download to this machine" or "Upload to the Steam Cloud". Can I just entirely ignore the Cloud save file system by choosing "Local Files", like are the characters I played on my desktop saved ONLY online or are they saved to the machine and copied to the Cloud?
I just registered on the Steam forums but its not letting me post there yet.
Edit2: BTW found my problem. My "brink.exe" file was missing?! Under the game properties in Steam and local files I was able to make it check the game files. I guess Steams not so bad once you know where things are.
