Some acknowledgement would have been nice, even a small cutscene ot something.
This has to be the lamest ending ever (, it kills any replay value whatsoever, it's the definition of anti-climactic.

You get a new shout. And some guards will say "anything for you, dragonborn."

And a few NPCs you talk to will recognize your achievement, like Arngier.
