I have noticed the past 3 or 4 times I have exited Skyrim back to the desktop that steam synchs the game taking a few minutes each time. I have not changed anything in settings on steam. I do have several mods but nevr noticed the synching before.

Any clue as to why it does this?

Its syncing you're game saves to the steam cloud. You can turn it off if it bothers you in the steam settings...
