What a let down!

I'm so dissapointed in todays patch. Seriously Bethesda? You fixed all these "rare" issues but not the common ones? Heres a few hints on what to fix in the next patch:

Common bug of weapon racks not working

Common bug of windhelm house not cleaning up

Dragon textures not rendering properly resulting in a strange clay looking dragon

Textures around the world not working properly causing half rendered rocks and walls

Looped quest bugs, not being able to finish some quests because npcs won't talk to you because of another unrelated quest that you can't finish because you need to finish the first.

I'm sure there are other known common bugs, but these ones I have seen more than once and it's amazing that they haven't fixed them.

I'm still trying to figure out what the update actually did today.

Almost nothing? A bunch of "rare" bugs that I have never seen

Don't forget Mannequins, that's a pretty big bug.

Now I'm realy pissed because after the update my dragons are all jumpy, flying backwards, and just stop motion flying and it looks awful. This is horrible! How did they let this happen?

The only bugs I have noticed (I play on the 360) are a loss of framerate if it snows, or if I'm fighting a lot of different people outdoors at once. And, I can remember one time when I was making way through the sewers in Riften to join the Thieves Guild, there was a dead Skeever suspended in mid air in the middle of a leap. Other than that, the game has seemed pretty stable to me.

Oh and so some of the word walls don't work, iv only had one not work but I have seen other people have the same issue, the wall will chant but never turns black and shows the word and you can never learn it.

haters gotta hate.

it's awesome how ignorant people can be to how complex the coding is that goes into a game like skyrim.

and seriously...mannequins and weapon racks? those are the game ruining issues you've stumbled on? if i were the developer i'd work on textures and quest breaking bugs before dealing with a weapon rack that doesn't work. give it time people...give it time.

I'm not hating on anything I jus don't understand how the picked the bigs to fix because the common bugs should be fixed before rare bugs, and nothing they fixed was a "game breaking" bug. However I'm getting more bugs now than I had before the patch.

Found another bug that I don't have before the patch: when picking locks if my lock pick breaks it kicks me out of the mini game and I have to start all over again making master locks impossible!

actually, there was a thread suggesting that to happen so that lockpicking was more challenging. it's pretty easy as it is.

Some how I doubt this is intentional, it's not everyone about 60% chance of it kicking me of the mini game. I think it's awful.

Beth games are always buggy. But we play them anyway. We are battered women going back for more. I too am disapointed in this but I can't put it down.
Anyone got a list of supposed rare bugs that got fixed. Only thing I see is new load screens

Oi, I went to the Cheats, Hints, and Spoilers section to escape all of this discussion about the patch. There are seriously like 10 topics about this already. Please pick one.

How do you know the bugs you've listed are more common than the ones they're tackling?

You also have no insight as to (i) the order in which various bugs were reported or (ii) the level of effort in troubleshooting releasing fixes. For all you know, this patch could have been started weeks ago before any of the bugs you list in the OP were found in appreciable quantity. For all you know, Bethesda has released this patch to release fixes with shorter resolution times, and the bugs you've listed require more development time.

These are the "fixes"

Improved occasional performance issues resulting from long term play (PlayStation 3)
Fixed issue where textures would not properly upgrade when installed to drive (Xbox 360)
Fixed crash on startup when audio is set to sample rate other than 44100Hz (PC)
Fixed issue where projectiles did not properly fade away
Fixed occasional issue where a guest would arrive to the player’s wedding dead
Dragon corpses now clean up properly
Fixed rare issue where dragons would not attack
Fixed rare NPC sleeping animation bug
Fixed rare issue with dead corpses being cleared up prematurely
Skeleton Key will now work properly if player has no lockpicks in their inventory
Fixed rare issue with renaming enchanted weapons and armor
Fixed rare issue with dragons not properly giving souls after death (only had this happen once before that patch and now that I have the patch it's happend twice just today)
ESC button can now be used to exit menus (PC)
Fixed occasional mouse sensitivity issues (PC)
General functionality fixes related to remapping buttons and controls (PC)

*************

But now im having all sorts of issues I never had before like backwards flying dragons and just strange glitches.

My dragon soul for working weapon racks

Deal, cause I have all the shouts unlocked (mostly only missing about 5 words) yet I have about 30 unused dragon souls

Ditto.

The new patch is getting rolled back, since it made the game unplayable for the majority of people. It was a quick set of fixes based on low-hanging fruit, done right before a long holiday weekend. I'm sure they'll get around to fixing everything properly, but for now, work with what you've got, go play a different game, or go troll the Tech Support forums. Most of us in Cheats, Hints, and Spoilers are having a good time.
