1000 plus Arrows disappear........

Post » Sun May 20, 2012 7:58 pm

So.....I'm at level 55 warrior/mage.....above 70 sneak rate....85 speech....above 70 one handed weapon and two handed......i think everything is above 50 now without even trying very hard on alot of them BUT more and more bugs seem to be appearing. The latest is this arrows bug. I had over 1000 steel arrows and all of a sudden I have no arrows to equip now??

I'm starting to wonder if maybe all the game is good for is wondering the open range and hunting butterflies and killing deer ?

Maybe exit and reload your game a couple of times.

I had previously "lost" part of my thieves guild armour, which I specifically left in Breezehome for safekeeping, to avoid losing or selling it and breaking my thieves guild quest-line. When I went back to breezehome, and checked where it was stored, everything was there EXCEPT my thieves guild hood. I sat questioning myself and wondering if I somehow sold it off, or dropped it, even though I KNEW I specifically stored those items, in that drawer, specifically for safe-keeping.

Then....

Next time I laoded my game, I looked in said drawer, and there was the thieves guild hood, sitting by itself. After assuming I had lost or sold it somehow, the hood actually just magically reappeared in the drawer next time I loaded my game.

So yeah, at least try reloading your game once or twice. They may magically reappear!

I had kinda the same thing happen with my ancient nord gauntlets that I made . I put them in a chest in Breezehome for safekeeping , when I went back to look they weren't there . Thinking I misplaced them , I went about my game . The next time I entered my house however they came flying towards me and bounced off the wall . I can only assume my wife Aela the Huntress found the lipstick on them .

I remember that in oblivion if you stored too much in a single container it would not display every item when you opened it, however if you took some things out then checked it again your missing items would appear. Maybe skyrim has this same issue.

No , I only had about 10 things in the chest when it happened , I've had well over 200 ingredients in the apothecary satchel on my alchemy table and they all display .

Yeah. The items were still there, but they didn't show up in the list when you opened the chest. I think the same thing could happen to your inventory as well.

The 1000 arrows that disappeared were not stored anywhere......I was carrying them around in my inventory because I was leveling my one handed weapon and archery intermittently. So thanx for the info but unfortunately it doesn't apply. The game just has it out for me I'm convinced now. lol

They're "stored" in your inventory. I've seen the exact same thing you're describing a couple of times and both times just a couple of reloads brought back my missing items.
