Lol, but Skyrim is more complex than JC2. I guess the more scripts and complex npc interaction there is the more it takes a chunk off the map sort of speak. There's no such thing as a free lunch I suppose.

I can already see Microsoft's presentation. 'Hey guys, we care about the PC. Look, here's a PC title. But for the next hour, we're going to show you a whole bunch of lovely Kinect titles!'

Only a few games i'm following right now with 1 being Borderlands 2. Didn't think it was all that great after playing it on a friend's computer. However, it did grow on me because of the randomized stats on the weapons allowing for almost endless possibilities on the weapons. Hoping to see Borderlands 2 surpass that adding in new unique environments.

Colonial Marines is the 2nd game that i'm following and it looks like it will turn out great. However, after the AvP fiasco i'm not about to hold my breath since I haven't seen a good Alien/Predator/Marine game yet since AvP2.

Dawnguard and Assassins Creed 3 are what I'll be looking out for. There isn't much that has grabbed my attention from E3 this year.

You should definitely try the older ones. At least San Andreas. It's pretty detailed and varied too. All cities and counties have a distinct feel, it doesn't feel or look the same at all. I loved III, VC, and SA, but I love Rockstars newer games as well. Except L.A Noire. What the hell was that?

You might like Saints Row or Just Cause if you liked the older GTA's. I feel that those are more like sequels to the older GTAs. But beware, they're obscenely over the top.
Oh I love those games. They are very much spiritual successors to the original style of GTA games.

I'm planning on going into Bioshock: Infinite blind, having only seen the announcement trailer. I don't want to know more. I'm mostly looking forward to Dishonored, I hope we'll see some gameplay footage. Dawnguard should be interesting as well.

Snip

Yeah, I really like JC and JC2 as well. Loads of freedom. For me, it sorta loses out with the bad voice acting and dialogue, but when free roaming, it's tons of fun.

Oh and Gamgee, if you're interested, Red Faction and Merceneraries are also series' that are similar, in case you didn't already know. Merceneraries is pretty glitchy, but good for a weekend where you've got nothing else to do. The Crackdown games and Prototype games are similar, but branching towards the extreme, with superhuman powers and whatnot. Still fun though. Sandbox games are probably my favourite.

Is it just me or has E3 become somewhat meaningless more and more over the years.

Because it's more crap and less greatness every year.

Yeah, in the voice and story department JC2 is really bad. In one mission the female revolutionary who gave me a task said that if I'm successful on that mission I will have her babies. Jeez, whoever wrote JC2 dialogue should be shot. The main character Rico has the same charisma of my left shoe during a rainy day. Luckily, the massive and beautiful tropical world makes up for the cheesy story and voice acting.

AC3 is a game I definitely want to see. What Bethesda show me at E3 will probably dictate whether or not I purchase Dawnguard.

Either way though, I'm not really that hyped for E3. Never have been.

Do you think they would even have anything worth showing at this point? They only got their funding a month or so ago.

Unlikely. Maybe enough for a blog update with a first screenshot of an area, but hardly anything worth showing off at E3 I think.

XCOM:EU, South Park the Game, Arma 3, Divinity: Original Sin - dunno if any of those are presented, but they are the only games I know of worth looking forward to at this point (out of those that have a possibility of being presented there -- Wasteland 2 will not be, and I hardly think CDPR new game will either).
