2560x1600 16:10 widescreen SLi problems

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 4:48 pm

When I launch in 2560x1600 the screen is all messed up and everything appears stretched as though it's in a very low resolution i.e. 640x480. If i drop the resolution to 1920x1200 or anything lower game is fine.

If I disable SLI it makes no difference. Doesn't happen in any other games I've played in the past 12 months or more, other than this. Never seen it before.

560 ti cards in sli mode
Latest nvidia drivers

Anyone see anything weird like this before or encounter it themselves? Not being able to play in native resolution is rather disappointing.

Making some progress. If I drop the settings to medium it fixes the problem, if it's on high it's still messed up. Anyone have any idea what setting on high or medium might be causing this? Possibly some setting they enable in the ini file or ?

By latest drivers do you mean WHQL or Beta? if you arn't using the 285.79beta driver i'd give it a try

That being said somebody else was having the exact same problem as you running that resolution, possibly a bug with anything larger than 1080p for the time being.

Not the beta, maybe I should try them. I can't get it to run properly on anything other than medium settings, otherwise in 2560x1600 everything is warped (characters 2x wider, etc.). Almost as though the res is 600x200 or something like....bizarre.

Rolled all the way back to 275.33 and the problem disappeared. Definitely a driver issue with the latest non-beta drivers. Put in a support incident with nvidia.

Re-installed all of the latest drivers - solved. Maybe a corrupt file or something...who knows.
