360 release day patch question : V

Ive never actually played my 360 online and therefore dont have a subscription to live......does this mean i wont be able to get the release day patch or can i just hook up the modem and line and get the patch w/o having xbox live?

You will need at least Xbox Live silver to get it. You should get your console setup for it, even if only to connect occasionally for patches.

You will need to have an internet connection and at least an X-Box LIVE Silver membership (free version)

You only need a Silver Membership (it's free) in order to download patches. So yes, as long as you can provide your 360 with internet, you can download the patch.
