3rd person view problem - Camera gets closer to the characte

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 7:48 am

I don't know if anyone else noticed this, or if it's even a glitch, but after about 60 hours of playing on my first character i started feeling way more claustrophobic in third person view. I couldn't put my finger on it though. A friend who had been with me when I first bought the game and started playing came over and immediately said "why is the camera so close to the guy i can't see s**t" and I was like oh... wow you're right.

Now I created a new character (which caused my 60 hour character manual save to be overwritten and destroyed by default, separate issue) and when I started playing that character the camera was zoomed out way further in 3rd person, and now after 8 hours once again my characters back is taking up 40% of the screen.

Did I accidentally press a weird button or change some setting by accident? or is this a glitch? will this be patched? any way to make it zoom out again?

Just noticed this tonight, seemed to happen after I started wearing an Antler hat thing.

Hold down the POV button and pull the left anolog stick back to zoom the camera out.

you can change the view in 3rd person by hold down R3 and then using the left stick to zoom in and out. It goes out very far and can go so close that you can't see anything. You may have accidentally done that, but I've noticed before that my 3rd person view changed by itself when I didn't do anything.

You can zoom the camera in and out you know lol, you just Hold down R3, as in the right anolog stick, then use the left anolog stick, L3 to move in and out, WALA problem solved :D

Wow thank you so much, I was really hoping it was something like that, it must have been from changing views while running forward and gradually zooming in

Try zooming all the way in and then walk through some dark crypt... you can't even see where you're going its miserable

Thanks a lot!

Funny, I actually play in 3rd person and prefer the camera to be close up. Maybe not all the way all the time, but I do prefer the tight camera shots for some reason
