So, that's pretty much the official "timeline" the universe is about to set in. The story mentions "Four years ago, in 2E 578." So the game, to my belief is set either to begin at 578, and the storyline to end to 582, or the timeline is just 578? Either way;

Let's dig in some interesting pieces of lore that may affect the game?

- Knahaten Flu is currently sweeping through the Black Marsh, killing all non-Argonians. The Crimson Ship's Voyage presumably spread it to other parts of the Tamriel, though the death toll count isn't as high. (Knahaten flu is a plague, and one of the most deadly recorded diseases in the lore of TES). It also annihilated whole cities. We may encounter the plague's victims in the game, or ghost towns.

Doesn't this also mean that we'll see the humans that lived in black marsh? I think they were called kothringi, right? The ones that had silver skin? At this tine they should be dying from the flu but should still he visible. I really hope Zenimax stays true to the lore in this game, but I have a creeping suspicion that things like this will be "forgotten". If so, then I will be greatly dissapointed.

Well based on the info they have in the faction sections, it is after the height of the Knahaten Flu, because it is the basis for the Khajiit joining the Aldmeri Dominion.

Still, the last sighting of the plague was in 603, this leaves the possibility that the plague continued 20 years or more.
