7gb and i cant play anymore? will the 1.2 patch fix this? (P

so ive invested 30 hrs of time, 60 dollars and bought the guide which i know your profit margin is about 95% on and the game is COMPLETELY unplayable for me. It froze on and off for the first few days i played it but nothing that i couldnt get through with a great deal of patients. Now it wont play period. I justt fininshed the Civil War Quest: The Defense of Whiterun, and i cant fast travel or even walk to anywhere without it completely freezing and shutting off my ps3. Its seems like this is happening to a lot of people so i just wanted to throw in my two cents so this issue stays on the forfront of this companys mind.

Also, i realize you are releasing a patch that is going to be live after thanksgiving, but you havent said whether or not this problem is going to be addressed or fixed, so anything regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Side note, i also cannot even start a new game without it freezing now, so is the only solution to delete all files i have with skyrim to even be able to play the first 20% of the game again?, or should i just leave it as is and wait............?

If there are any fixes, you in the community know of please reply to this post, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

This will benefit the other marines in my unit that love this game and spent There HARD EARNED money to get a chance to support this game and your company.

We don't know. We're just end product useds like yourself.

Ask AFTER we've got the patch, we can tell you then, not before.

sorry but we know exactly what they will doing....with this new patch....

Skyrim console patches in certification.

Bethesda’s VP of Marketing Pete Hines has just posted the news on his twitter account that a console patch for Skyrim has been submitted for certification. He also stated “pc coming too”. His tweet provides an estimate that the fix will be going live the week after Thanksgiving which means at least another week of waiting for anyone impacted by some of the games more serious issues. The patch will be primarily aimed at fixing the broken textures bug on the 360 and the poor framerate that some PS3 players have been encountering. It will also clean up some of the less serious issues that are a given in a gameworld as big and complex as Skyrim’s.

I’m still unsure if I am suffering from the texture problem on the 360 and am perfectly happy with how the game looks for me anyway. Skyrim has managed to eat a frightening amount of my time since it launched last Friday and am I edging closer and closer to thinking that this game is going to end up being incredibly influential and important when we look back at this era in gaming. Any patch that makes that experience less turbulent for the people experiencing bugs has to be welcomed, even if the wait is a little bit long.

I played 55 hours, my file is as big as yours, I still can play just fine. Only starts lagging after 3-4 hours. Take some breaks, once in a while. Your console is probably overheating.

also, i understand about the ps3 overheating thats why when it happened yesterday i turned my ps3 off for the night and tried again today with no avail. also i returned the copy i had to Gamestop and tried a new copy.... nothing changed.

i would assume this would be my ps3s problem if it wasnt for the fact that this is the only game that has ever had this issue. i even gave up and tried to start a new game and it froze before i could get out of helgen so i think it has something to do with the game save from my other file.

No no no no and no.

Its not overheating, skyrim is not overheating the unit, the PS3 never even reaches the 75% fan speed limit in a well ventilated area.
Its purely down to the framerate issue.

As for why it happens to a new game, try turning your ps3 off then beginning a new game, The memory isnt cleared after use with skyrim, hence it sticks in there lagging everything proceeding it.
