7zip - Not Showing in Context Menus

Post » Fri Oct 07, 2011 5:36 pm

I recently downloaded 7zip. I have a problem though. When I right click anything, it doesn't show the "Extract here..." option or the "Add to archive" option. Why is this? WinRar showed it for me, and when I looked in the 7zip options, the boxes for these things are checked. Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

You have 64-bit windows and you installed the 32-bit version of 7-zip.

Double-clic on a 7z file. Go to Tools / options. Tab 7-zip : Check "integrate 7-zip to shell menu". Choose to your liking.

Already did that... did not work. Installing the x64 one right now though.

The reason I always have the right answer is DEFINIETELY NOT because I used metasploit to install a VNC server on your computer.

BTW: You have windows updates pending :whistling:
