About character creation and classes.

Post » Tue Jun 25, 2013 2:38 am

hello..I do apologize in advance if this was asked somewhere. I am horrible at finding info on forums...also nervous how badly this post is going to be trolled...

To my question(s)!

1. Long hair..does Elder scrolls online support it? (shoulder length is not long. So many games lately are using the same generic recycled hair styles)

^- Now before people start posting "it will clip" there are ways to make it not clip and players can choose not to wear the armor it clips on.Also clipping personally is not a huge issue if its minor clipping.

2. I read it is skyrim options...this worries me. So we will be forced to play a dirty worn out character?..I had hoped to make a pretty youthful female supporter. (not a fan of playing a worn down 40 year old angry faced female, covered in dirt)

3. Supporter is my next question. I love the fact that combat is real time! so can dodge and such. Will there be a support class? and does the game follow the Tank-Healer-Damage Dealer trinity?

4. This is only if there is no supporters. Will there be an ice specialist caster? been having bad luck in MMOs where casters focus on fire magic...

5. (edited to add in) Forgot keep reading pvp all over the forums...is this going to be open world pvp..(Yes I am one of those care bear players who fails at pvp)

Thanks to those who read this! and even bigger thanks if you can help with some info on them.

Dirt is out! However there seem to be many options to make a unique character!

PvP is in Cyrodiil only, more like PvE/PvP so no true open world!

1+2 only Beta Tester could tell you right know.

3: You can build your class as you wish so a supporter is possible, also the Trinity is alive in that game.

4: Im pretty sure you can build a caster with only frost spells.

5: PVP is only in cyrodiil. (atleast right know)

oh my goodness! quick replies. Thank you both so much! The no dirt, Trinity and Support being playable does increase the yay factor! and that pvp is only in one area.

To the player vs player users, I am not against it...so please don't reply to this in anger. Just enjoy stress free leveling and exploring.

I hope we could have such dirty, aged and rough characters who are more believable than the ones we have seen in TESO screenshots. I really hope we are not forced to have round, symmetrical clean and young faces. Skyrim faces are best I have seen in any videogame.

Oh I hope players can also, I just mean...I hope there is an option for both. As I am sure not everyones character will be a roughian.

I hope you can choose how the characters in the game will look overall - rough or not. Just like in EQ2 you were able to choose the overall look for characters.

Paul Sage said somewhere players like making their character look like theirselves so ESO will have all kinds of options, fat bellies, many facial features and such. Im sure you can splash a little dirt on, and i know there will be scars if you desire.

EDIT: And yes you can make pretty people too.

The hair is a big thing, Only reason I played Skyrim is because I could mod it...I really hope they decide to break the standard generic creation. Granted face and body options are nice..alot of games do this but still follow same hair rules..so its nothing new.

1. Yes. Of course you can choose long hair.

2. No. The character creation will be a bit more in depth from what we've seen.

3. Sort of. There's a class with healing and support skills built in, but there will be other skills to adopt to fit these rolls for other classes, effectively making any class capable of support/heals.

4. Maybe. Like above, I'm sure there will be some frost spell lines to adopt and specialize in if you want. I hope so atleast because I'm a frost mage to the bone also.

5. No. PvP will be strictly confined to one zone that is roughly the size of several of the normal faction zones combined. It will be huge and open world, but not the entire world.
