I'm thrilled with finally getting the option for perk resets. That's worth the price of admission alone. Couldn't be happier I won't have to delete characters and waste time regrinding them ever again.

why are people upset about this feature? if you don't think you should be able to reset your perks, simply don't reset them.

also, as a pc player, you already have this feature via console.

Sigh. ill just copypaste.

You're not seeing the whole picture.

Its not about the actual perk reset, its what will follow in future TES games as a result. Thats why this "then dont use it" mentality is ridiculous. First its perk reset, then its Magicka health stamina reset, then its race reset, then its "You're a stormcloak, but we'll give you the option to join the imperials after"

Skills for example, how many were in Morrowind, like 27? They took a few in Oblivion and now theres like 16 in Skyrim. Unarmed, i loved using unarmed in Morrowind and oblivion because it was a unique way to play after exhausting all other classes. Now it exists only as fists in Skyrim. No bonuses, no trees, no perks no nothing for it. Same with alot of the magic trees. Waterwalking, they said it was useless and not needed and now they've added it back in?

Edit: Sorry, one perk for unarmed which just increases the damage(tied to heavy armor, mind you. Again, restricting choice. unarmed with robes? light armor? nope.). And a pair of gloves that gives a bit of none-scaling damage.

It's actually not that bad. You can't reset your attributes, so you can't really go from warrior to mage. You have to beat the Dragonborn quest, so your character will have to already have been a decent level. It costs dragon souls, so it's not completely free.

And now in the next TES i guarentee perk/attribute reset will be in the core game. And it'll be there from the start. Thats the point of all this controversy.

though your concerns may be valid, they seem a bit far fetched to me.

this feature just looks like a simple way for players to change the the way they play their character without having to create an entirely new one.

That's a foolish thing to assume. Not everything that gets added in a DLC will become a core mechanic of the game.
