About every province being featured...

I'm kind of starting to worry about how every province in Tamriel is featured in TES:O, including ones we haven't seen in the single player games. Won't this take away from the sense of exploration and discovery felt when seeing a brand new province in one of the singleplayer games if they're all featured in the MMO? What would the point be in making a singleplayer TES set in say, Black Marsh, if that province is already being seen by many in the MMO? Sure they could just make the province bigger and have more content but it would still feel less mysterious if you already have a general idea of what it's like from seeing/playing the mmo.

I know I don't have to play TES:O and could just stick with the single player games, but then it would feel like paying $60 every 5 years for a small sample of Tamriel that everyone who plays the MMO is already seeing.

Does anyone else think that the amount of land featured in TES: O will take away from the future single player titles?

This is just one continent. They have a whole world full of unknown continents that they have yet to bring into the lore. I'm not worried. This jsut means the next single player is going to be something COMPLETELY unexpected.

Edit: Besides, the single players don't often take place this far in the past. The single players have the opportunity to use whatever time period they would like as well.

1. Different developer/ Different Interpretations
2. Different time period
3. Better representation of lore
4. More immersive world
5. World interactivity
6. Advanced AI

You miss that from the MMO versions.

This is set 1,000 years before the time of the singleplayer games. This means that what we see in the MMO won't be any real solid example of what we'd see in a SP game of the same province apart from the VERY basics.

Except according to polls most people wanted to see places like Black Marsh, Elsweyr, and Valenwood in the next single player game. Other places like Akaviir and Pyandonea are usually voted less.

I wouldnt worry about it. Nords and Dunmer are very popular in the ESO crowd not because thier homelands are new and mysterious, its because theyre nostalgic, well part of the reason anyway.

I dont think being able to explore all of Tamriel will take away from the single player games I think it will make them a little more enjoyable, and will get us excited for them. Think of ESO like a sample for possible future TES games.

Things change a lot in 1,000 years. What did your home town in 1013 CE look like?

That's because people don't have any other options. If you only give them options to pick parts of the world already revealed, they are going to pick from them. Akavir and Pyandonea aren't the only other continents in Nirn. They are just ones that are known. I personally am interested in solving the mystery of Atmora. Was that an option on your poll?
