That's probably a bad example in terms of the flickering thing I was talking about, but it's a symptom of the same problem - namely multiple meshes in .nif files with competing textures. Windhelm is full of them, and I'm sure other places are too.
Now, in the 'after' image you can see what it looks like after I 'fixed' it. I think it just look 'right' by comparison, flickering issues aside. The thing is that all I did was extract the .nif and remove the blocks that had the competing textures, and I'm not very familiar with working with .nifs. Here are 2 images from nifskope:

I'm concerned that this will cause problems. I've loaded it up in game and it worked perfectly, but I'm hoping someone with a good bit of .nif experience can tell me if this is an inherently wrong thing to do or if I'm missing something about those blocks being there in the first place. I'm presuming it's an error on Beth's part (though there seem to be so many it's kind of weird).
I'd appreciate any input from some knowledgeable folks...
