Does the update change much? I was going to make a new save,but thought I should wait until the new update.Is it worth the wait?

1.6 adds quite a bit, notably mounted combat. 1.7 also sets the game up for Dawnguard, but apart from that there's no huge changes.

So should I just start my save?

Well, if you're holding out for the patch you could very well be waiting for a long time.

I was going to make a character special for 1.6, and by now I've forgotten what type-race it was even going to be...

So my advice, just make it, or play something else.

On PC going from 1.06 to 1.07 was (almost) smooth. Going from 1.05 to 1.07 on PS3 is likely to kill your system cause Beth cannot code themselves out of a wet paper sack.

id wate, im also wateing for the new patch to start my new char, but i did make a tester char, to play for now, trying some different builds to see what one id want to make my next char from.
