About Miraak, need a spoilerfree answer on something.

Is there alot of conversation?
Can you resolve the situation with diplomacy?
Is he a deep character?

Im so scared the endfight will be: Rush in, minimal to no conversation, kill him in 3 hits, loot. Please say Bethesda learned from their mistake?

No, No, imo No

the end fight is decent, only the 3rd best fight in the expansion.

So how long does it take to beat the main quest?

I cant give you an exact time because I got sidetracked a lot by exploring and side missions. Seemed slightly shorter than Dawnguard main quest.

And that makes me said. I really wanted him to be fleshed out as a villain, but he really isn't.

Makes me realy think about if Betheseda a writting problem, they don't seem to be abe to produce anything that is more than average fantasy stuff,.

Mh.... get Kirkbridge back, or hire at least talented writters, serious Betheseda even Greg Keys books are ten times story wise better, then the stuff you doing.
Just to think about a Game developer with hundred designers, should have a professional talented writter.

I suspect that it has less to do with poor writing and more to do with a desire on the behalf of Bethesda to return to Morrowind, yet on a scale appropriate for an expansion. The lore, flavor, and characters in Solstheim are written superbly. It seems like Miraak was just an excuse for getting us there.

Figures as much. So let me guess, he wants to be a god or something and wants to enslave everyone, just like Alduin? Also, where does HM come into this plot?
