I'm glad you aren't going to resort to anything illegal but it's best not to bring up such options in the first place.
By the way, is it really illegal? There seems to be no provision in GECK EULA which prohibits inspecting GECK's code or modifying it. There is also no copy protection on GECK, so it is not a copy protection circumvention.
It's not related to this particular situation, I'm asking just in case.
