About the floating player names...

Give us an option (if it's not already in) to leave the player names (that appear above the heads of other players) invisible until we move the cursor over them (the other player).

Immersion thanks you!

Well there is an option to have them completely off for various different groups/mobs, we have seen those options are already in game. I am not sure how they are then shown if it is mouse over or actively clicking on them. Personally mouse over would be incredibly annoying, with mouse aiming it would always be there and that does not seem immersion friendly.

Just a note; You don't "click" anything. Mouse over as in your reticle (crosshair) meeting with an actor, that is in. But otherwise, we do not have typical mouse overing (except in Menu's).

So you are saying everytime I mouse over/aim at a target their name plate is going to appear?

Edit: Sorry that wa a bit blunt. Basically I am confused a how I interact with other players and NPCs when not in combat. Can I select other players in some way so I can easily whispher, invite, ignore them? Or how do you see this working?

That I do not know the answer to, but one could assume it works extremely similiar to Skyrim. Your reticle meets up with the target actor and the actor's name is highlighted.

I don't know how people play MMOs with those freaking name plates on always floating above their heads. I have to turn that stuff off, I don't need to know who this person is who is dancing on the mailbox.

Hmm I do not recall any name being apparent until you either attacked them or started a conversation. I just hope I have to make some sort of action before their name plate appears other than just aiming at someone before being forced to see their name.

People who do more than watch mailbox strippers can find a use for them. :P
