If I get a xbox 360 controller and use it on my PC will I have to install any programs to be able to use the controller, and when I'm in game would the would it play just as it would in console as far as in controls/aiming ect..?

You'd need to download drivers for the controller. other than that Skyrim automatically detects the controller and the anologue sticks so no third party programmes are required.

If you are going to use a wireless controller you need a wireless adapter using the cable from a charge and play kit won't work as it is battery charging cable only.

Windows automatically downloads them for you since it recognizes the Xbox controller.

Automatic if your connect to the internet, other wise the wireless adapter comes with a CD
