For the mission Oh My Papa, you must convince the Kahn leaders that joining the Legion would be bad. I have proven it to everyone EXCEPT for Regis...In the Strategy guide it says you can either show Regis Karl's Journal, or get invited to Ceasers camp and sneak in the tent to steal the Legion Slave Ledger...For some reason it will not allow me to show Regis Karl's Journal, and the strategy guide says quote, it is "impossible" to get into the Legion camp if you are Vilified by them...which I am...

I want to do this before boons 2nd quest so I can dismiss him while I do it....Is there any way to get there without ruining my rep with the NCR? or can you still get across the river if you slaughter everyone at Cotton Cove with boone??

I haven't gone across myself, but I did go onto the raft after purging Cottonwood with Boone and it gave me the option to, so I assume you can get across even if Caesar wants you dead.

Caesar's empire will continue on without Caesar himself. It'd take a long time for Legate Lantius to hear about Caesar's demise anyway, and by then, the climactic battle would have happened.

So... It won't actually change the game. However, I'm certain that killing him will drastically change the ending when it comes to the ending slides. I haven't beaten the game yet so I'm just guessing, but that seems highly likely.

Okay, so now my only question is...if i kill ceaser....will i fail the Oh My Papa quest?

I'm not seeming to get any sort of dialogue options to try and convince the Khans peacefully. I talk to Regis first to get Oh My Papa, go back to Moore, and tell her I won't do an assassination. After that it says go talk to papa khan but there's no further dialogue options if I talked to him about it earlier. I'm going to try and avoid that until -after- I speak with Moore again, but I'm not confident it'll work. :/

How do you gain fame with the Legion if you're vilified? I'm trying to do the House Always Wins quest, I have to go and talk to Caesar but I can't go into Cottonwood without getting shot at, I was able to go to his fort but I can't take on all of his body guards without losing all my companions, and I certainly can't do it without my companions. I heard killing Powder Gangers increases Legion rep. but the only other method I can think of is using a Legion outfit. But I also heard some followers will prompt the Legion to shoot at you because of their alignment with them. Right now I have Raul and ED-E with me, not sure if they hate the Legion or vice verse. This happens even with the Mark of Caesar.

Any help would on raising my rep. with them would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to have to start the game over.

Same thing happened to me, i had to get into Caesars fort for a mission but everytime i did so i would get shot.
in the end i had to start the game over because i couldnt find anyway to get the legions to like me again

Not sure about Raul and Ed-E, but having Boone in your party makes all Legion members hostile towards you aswell.
For some reason Ed-E makes alot of generic NPCs go nuts and shoot at you aswell.

ok after you deal with benny at the tops you will have a legion rep come to you give you the mark of ceaser and say ceaser wants to see you. That mark is your safe passage when you get close to the cove don't go into any camps or into the cove till you run into a legion explorer. He will confront you. You show him the mark and NOBODY in the cove will attack and you can go across when you get the mark you are forgiven and go back to neutral if you got vilified after that it is your own fault but if done right you can go to see ceaser. Also ceasers camp is like a casino NO weapons (except holdout weapons),

regis journal is in his room at the great khan camp
i just waited until regis left his room and closed the door
then took his journal from the footlocker and gave that to papa
who is in the same building

i killed all the legion at cottonwood so how do i get to caesars camp?
i do not get any indication or raft to get there i did try
but i will be taking boone with me
i need to so i can get to do boones personal quest
you have to do certain things with your companions and they need to be there with you
and the other areas i already did before boone
maybe glithed?

So I am villified by the legion so I will not be able to do the wild card quest to go see benny at the fort?

Have you tried putting on a legion uniform (remember faction uniforms disquise you and changes your rep while you wear it for example if you have positive rep with NCR you put on legion disguise and now you are vilified you take it off and back to positive rep)

I haven't tried the quest yet but I want to be prepared when I do. I am idolized by ncr and villified by the legion. If I put the legion armor on and then take it off will I still be idolized or will it drop at all? Also should I go solo and have my companion wait somewhere?

Try going to Cottonwood solo - you should be challenged by the Legion but your 'Mark' will pacify them. If you have Boone with you they show as Red on radar and that is no good, they must appear as yellow. Perhaps you can fast travel to get your followers once you have the access to the bunker - I dont know haven't down that yet after trying to fight the entire legion.
