Accidentally ordered 2 copies!

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 11:22 pm

So I got a gift card for Best Buy and decided to use it to preorder Skyrim a few days ago, completely forgetting about the preorder I made at gamestop a few months beforehand. Now I have two copies shipping and no way to cancel either!
Hopefully the Best Buy one gets here first. I'm not really sure what there return policy is for things payed for partially with a gift card.

You should be able to send it back unopened.

Any family members into games? If not, you could always eBay it.

Christmas is just around the corner, would make a nice gift.

I agree with Daedrius, it would make good timing and a great gift for Christmas.

Not a bad idea. I wonder if I could get more for it if I wait a while? I've heard that people will pay crazy amounts for missed pre-order bonuses

That it would, unfortunately none of my friends/famliymembers are cool enough to be into a game like Skyrim. They either don't game or are part of the military FPS crowd

Not sure how that would work, seeing as I'm charged for the game when it ships. Would I just be able to call them up to get my money back?

In that case, if you can't get a refund, I would eBay it.

Unless I wait a few weeks and sell it for an extra $10 or 15, hoping that someone really wants the pre-order bonus map

When they get it back, they'll credit you the cost of the game (they won't refund shipping). If you refuse the shipment, then you won't have to pay to ship back.

From past experience I know that you Will get less if you wait. Trust me. Alot less.

I understand you thinking about the pre-order games growing in value but most people want them when the game is new. You, know show off to their friends or whatever.

Most loose intrest over time. I'd put it on ebay as soon as it is released in ALL countries ( more chance of finding someone who missed out on pre-order )

That depends on how much it cost him in the first place. I only paid £27 for my copy, and it is now listed as anywhere between £29 and £35.

If the preorder map was real cloth, then I could see the value. But it's an imitation cloth map, so I would'nt even try to auction it.

HaHa, I INTENTIONALLY ordered 3 copies. One from Amazon, one from Game and one from Tesco.

Guess what, not one of the fookers have arrived!

Well they are all getting sent back and I hope they shove them up there fooking arses.

So I'm going along to my local ASDA (WalMart), who are doing a midnight release (3Hours & 19Mins from now :hehe: ), and playing all the rest of the night (I'm self-employed, so customers can just fook off)

Honestly, neither can I.
I always save a copy of the order cnfirmation to my desktop, but the only thing there was for Assassin's Creed. And I really don't remember placing the order.

What you could do is annoy someone by giving them the extra for Christmas but who don't have the right console to play it.
